Our Basic Roll-up captions are not only economical – they also are accurately transcribed, timed, and free of typos. And, the captions will never cover onscreen graphics! Our caption editors carefully research unfamiliar terms for proper spelling. Our exclusive Premium Roll-up captions include a number of innovative features that significantly improve overall caption readability. For example, when we move captions to avoid covering onscreen graphics, we anticipate the move by taking the text off the screen at the end of the sentence immediately prior to the graphic. We then begin the next sentence in the new location. When it’s consistent with the audio, we time the text to come off the screen at a scene change and start captioning with the next scene.
Studies have consistently shown that pop-on style closed captioning is preferred by deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.

Give your viewers a richer captioning experience! Pop-on captions indicate speaker through screen placement and include descriptions of music and sound effects. They are the ideal choice for programming where multiple characters are on screen simultaneously, or if there is off-screen narration.
SPANISH CAPTIONING AND THE LAW
Effective January 1, 2010, all new non-exempt Spanish-language programming - as well as all Spanish-language programming that was first shown after January 1, 1998 - must be closed captioned.
Regardless of the law, Spanish closed captioning makes good business sense. Spanish is the second most common language in the United States, and is the primary language spoken at home by over 30 million people. As approximately 10% of the U.S. population is deaf or hard-of-hearing, Spanish captioning enables you to reach this large and growing group of viewers.

Efficient, Cost-Effective NLE Captioning
Save time and money with NLE captioning. You simply forward a low resolution reference version of your video to us via FTP. We use the reference file to caption the video and output a video file containing only the closed caption data. The file containing the caption data is then uploaded to the FTP server for your retrieval and import into your NLE. When you output your video to tape, it will include all of the closed caption data – ready for broadcast!
